Arvi ka katta masala(A Sour gravy with colacasia)

Ingredients:

  • Curd - 1 cup measuring 250 grams
  • Amchur powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Besan - 2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Ghee - 3 tablespoon
  • asfoetida - a pinch
  • Carom seeds(ajwain) - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Colacasia - 250 grams
  • ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • coriander leaves,chopped- 2 tablespoon
Method:
======
  • Wash colacasia well and pressure cook it on a high flame with just one whistle.
  • Peel off the skin and chop into slices.
  • Whisk together curd,garam masala powder,coriander powder,besan,red chilli powder,amchur powder and salt.
  • Heat ghee in a pan .Add asfoetida and carom seeds.
  • Saute for 5 sec and add colacasia slices .
  • Saute on medium heat till they turn light brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and saute for 3 min.
  • Add yogurt mixture and cook till most of moisture dries up and you get a thick gravy.Stir it so that curd does not split.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
This goes well with any rotis/parathas and also with curd rice.People who like tangy taste will surely like this recipe.
