Sprout curry

Ingredients:

  • Moong dal sprouts - 200 grams
  • Onion,chopped - 1 medium sized
  • tomato,chopped - 1 large
  • green chillies,chopped - 2
  • ginger,chooped finely - 1 tablespoon
  • oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • urad dal - 1 teaspoon
  • curry leaves - few
  • asfoetida - a pinch
  • turmeric powder - a pinch
  • sambar powder - 1 teaspoon(If you like whole spices taste,you can add garam masala instead of sambar powder)
Method:
======
  • Refer to sprouts section to see how to make sprouts.
  • Heat a kadai,add oil and mustard seeds.
  • When it splutters.add urad dal ,asfoetida and saute till it turns brown.
  • Add onions and green chillies and saute till onion turns light brown.
  • Add curry leaves,tomatoes,turmeric powder and saute till raw smell goes off.
  • Add sambar powder,salt and saute for a min.
  • Add sprouts,mix well and saute for 5 sec.
Srve hot with dosa/idly/rice.Its a healthy and filling side dish.
