Sprouts-How to make Sprouts at home

Sprouts are very healthy.They are also very filling such that they can even replace a heavy morning breakfast.Sprouts can be made from many pulses like whole green moong dal,chick peas,cow peas,small chana dal,kabuli chana and many more.
And many combinations of vegetables with sprouts can yield excellent salads which can be had everyday before food so that rice consumption can be reduced.
And to add more,different types of gravies and rice can also be made with sprouts.Keep checking for the recipes which will be shortly uploaded.

Method:

  • Soak the pulses of your choice overnight.
  • Drain the water and keep in a cello hot case or tie it up in a muslin cloth.
  • Let it stay for a day.(It can take upto 12 hours to a day for the sprouts to appear depending on the pulse)
  • Sprinkle water every now and then ,so that there is always little moisture for the sprouts to grow.
Sprouts are ready.It can be consumed as such with little salt,pepper and few drops of
lemon juice.
