Ingredients:

- Podalangai/Snakegourd,chopped - 1
- Green chilli - 1
- Coconut,shredded - 2 tablespoon
- Tuar dal,pressure cooked - 1 handful
- salt - to taste
- turmeric powder - a pinch
- asafoeida - a pinch
- Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Urad dal,split - 1 teaspoon
- curry leaves - 1 sprig
- oil - 1 teaspoon
Method:
======
- Cook covered the chopped snakegourd pieces with a pinch of turmeric powder,salt and sufficient water till they turn tender.
- Drain the excess water,if any.
- Grind coconut and green chillies coarsely.
- Heat oil in kadai and add asafoetida and mustard seeds.
- When it splutters,add urad dal and saute till brwon.
- Add curry leaves and cooked snakegourd pieces.
- Add cooked tuar dal and ground coconut to it.
- Mix well and saute for a min.
Serve with any kootan and rice.
